What's meditation?

Meditation is our gym for the mind and a journey of deep personal discovery. Contrary to popular belief, it's not actually all about relaxing and giving our mind some time off, it's about actively training skilful mental states. By using techniques like mindfulness and visualisations we cultivate these skilful mental states - states that will inevitably lead to beneficial outcomes for us. These states are things like concentration, presence, kindness, non-attachment and forgiveness. By practising meditation, we can alleviate the dis-ease and unsatisfactoriness that we so often find in our day to day lives. In doing so we relieve ourselves from things like stress, anxiety, depression, addiction and sleep asnxiet. t
problems. Just like going to the gym or exercising stimulates muscle growth, meditation conditions our mind to be more able to tackle the ins and outs of life and takes us on a deep journey of personal growth and self-discovery along the way.
One-on-one meditation coaching
One-on-one sessions can be the most effective way to build meditation into your life. Whether you’re feeling burnt out, navigating change, are looking for more balance, or any other reason to meditate, I’ll work with you to establish a meditation practice that sticks. Think of me as a personal trainer for the mind. We’ll start with a free discovery call to get to know each other and uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface. From there, I’ll create a personalised program and meet with you online three times per week to check in, reflect, and meditate together. Let's catapult your life forward together.
Who's this fletch character then?
Hi I'm Fletch, a meditation teacher with ten plus years experience in daily meditation that I bring to my teaching. My style is light and engaging, while still getting to the point of it all. My meditation is grounded in mindfulness and classical Buddhist techniques, though I like to explore other spiritual, non-secular and scientific ideas, often drawing on my formal education in biology.
I can work with individuals and all types and sizes of groups, and bring to my classes my experience from working with schools and workplaces as a conservation educator and facilitator.

Is it any good?
